Arts & Voices

At H2BE, the arts are not just performance — they are power, healing, and testimony. From music to movement, from spoken word to visual storytelling, we amplify voices that have too often been silenced and create spaces where creativity fuels justice.

Our Approach

Expression as Empowerment: We treat art as a pathway to resilience, truth-telling, and leadership.

Cultural Continuity: By honoring ancestral rhythms and present-day innovation, we link generations through shared creativity.

Community Stage: Parks, libraries, and public spaces become stages where voices are uplifted and community pride is restored.

Impact & Outcomes

Amplified Local Talent: Musicians, vocalists, and comedians gained platforms to share their gifts.

Intergenerational Engagement: Youth, elders, and families connected through shared artistic experiences.

Healing through Art: Programs and events demonstrated how creativity restores dignity and fosters belonging.

Example Project

Music in the Park (2019)

An outdoor placemaking series in Downtown Dearborn, curated and led by Dr. Denguhlanga Julia Kapilango in partnership with Dearborn’s Economic Community Development team. Over 1,000 residents attended free, family-friendly performances, transforming public space into a stage for unity and joy.

In every form, art at H2BE is a vessel of healing, a tool of resistance, and a spark of transformation.
